What is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler?
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring sugar in the body that helps facilitate the skin’s ability to stay hydrated. It's a common ingredient you'll find in hydrating skincare products and serums. Hyaluronic acid fillers are body-safe clear gels that, when injected beneath the skin, can help to fill in facial wrinkles, restore volume loss, and refine your facial features.
How long do HA lip fillers last?
HA lip fillers are temporary, but the longevity depends on several factors, including the brand of filler, the amount used, your metabolism, and how you move your lips. FDA-approved fillers typically last between four and six months, but can last up to 12 months.
What are the side effects?
Common side effects of HA-based lip injections include temporary redness or purplish tone, swollen lips, mild bleeding and bruising around the injection sites, and temporary bumps or lumps that may arise around the injection sites. The swelling shouldn't last for longer than 48 hours.
How do I take care of my lips after treatment?
Hydrate your lips by drinking plenty of water
Use a hydrating lip balm on your lips (personally, we're big fans of using Glossier's "After Baume" for this purpose).
Avoid strenuous activity, sun exposure, and alcohol immediately after treatment
Keep the area clean and dry
Avoid picking or scratching at the treated area
Avoid hot environments, such as saunas, baths, steam, or heated exercise, for at least 48 hours after your lip filler treatment

Our premium upgrade brands include Revanesse Lips+, Juvederm, Kysse, Restylane-L, and more. When we call you to get scheduled, please let us know which brand you'd like us to use for your service.
Please note: different brands have different volumes per syringe.
